The Itinerary

DAY 1 – Arrival in Huangshan – Warm Welcome & Hotel Check-In

Arrive in Huangshan where your personal guide will meet you at the airport or train station. Enjoy a smooth private transfer to your hotel in Tunxi. Your guide will help with check-in and offer tips for packing light for tomorrow’s mountain stay. Tip: Store your large luggage in Tunxi for free or at the mountain base (approx. CNY 20 per item). Accommodation: Huangshan International Hotel (4★) or Crowne Plaza Huangshan Yucheng (5★)

DAY 2 – Hike the Eastern Steps – From Yungu to Cloud-dispelling Pavilion

Begin your hike from Yungu Temple via the Eastern Steps. Pass incredible rock formations like the Stone Table and Immortal Pointing the Way, reaching White Goose Ridge in about three hours. After lunch, continue to Flying-over Rock and Bright Top, ending with a stunning sunset at Cloud-dispelling Pavilion. Optional: Save time and energy with the Yungu Cable Car (CNY 80). Accommodation: Beihai Hotel (4★) or Xihai Hotel – South/New Wing (5★)

DAY 3 – Explore the West Sea Grand Canyon – Deep Trekking Adventure

Start early to see the sunrise at Refreshing Terrace, then descend into the West Sea Grand Canyon. Hike the full loop—1st Ring, 2nd Ring, Button, Plunk Way, and Fairy-Walking Bridge—a highlight for nature and thrill seekers. End the day with a climb to Baiyun Hotel. Optional: Use the West Sea Canyon monorail (CNY 80) to shorten steep descents. Accommodation: Baiyun or Tianhai Hotel (4★)

DAY 4 – Hike the Western Steps – Celestial Capital & Farewell

Watch the sunrise at Bright Top, then trek to the One Hundred Ladders and Jade Screen Pavilion to admire the Greeting-guests Pine. Continue to the steep and legendary Celestial Capital Peak, then descend via the Western Steps to Lima Temple. After a rewarding 12 km hike, enjoy a local lunch and stroll through Tunxi Ancient Street before heading to the airport or train station. Tip: If preferred, use the Yuping Cable Car (CNY 90) for a more relaxed descent.
