The Itinerary

DAY 1 – Xiamen to Anxi: Discover the Hometown of Tieguanyin

Begin your journey with a scenic 2-hour drive from downtown Xiamen to Anxi, China’s renowned tea capital. Visit a private tea farm where you’ll learn about and participate in the traditional Tieguanyin tea-making process inside a century-old house. Chat with local tea farmers and enjoy a home-cooked lunch. In the afternoon, transfer to Quanzhou (approx. 1.5 hrs), where you’ll explore the vibrant street food scene on West Street before spending the night in the city.

DAY 2 – Quanzhou: Tracing the Maritime Silk Road

Start the day with a visit to the Quanzhou Maritime Museum to uncover the city’s seafaring past. Explore the ancient Kaiyuan Temple and Qingjing Mosque, which highlight centuries of cultural exchange. Continue to Xunpu Fishing Village to see oyster shell houses and the unique hairstyles of Xunpu women. Finish the day at Luoyang Bridge — China’s oldest seaport stone bridge that once fueled the Maritime Silk Road’s prosperity. Overnight in Quanzhou.

DAY 3 – Seaside Traditions & Departure

In the morning, journey to Chongwu Ancient Town, China’s best-preserved seaside granite settlement. Then visit Hui’an Dazha Fishing Village to meet the famously industrious Hui’an women, known for their distinctive dress and customs. Try on traditional attire and snap memorable photos. You’ll be transferred to Quanzhou Railway Station, Jinjiang Airport, or back to Xiamen — whichever suits your onward travel plans.
